Mission
At Regen Miami, we work to rapidly deploy high impact solutions to the challenges posed by a changing climate. We aim to empower our community in both addressing these threats and benefiting from the economic opportunities created in the new climate tech economy. Our initiatives are driven by a vision for collective prosperity with tangible and measurable progress towards climate equity, resilience, and regeneration, especially in our most vulnerable communities. Our collaborative approach brings together the public sector, private enterprise, and community stakeholders to surpass net-zero and achieve truly restorative economic, ecological, and cultural enrichment.
Vision
South Florida is ground zero for climate change and although this challenge threatens the very existence of our community as we know it, there are major actions that can be taken now. A large-scale mobilization is taking place at global and national levels, but at the local level, many of the most vulnerable communities are being left out. It is in fact these local communities that must be a major part of the conversation and solution to climate threats. By focusing on the economic opportunities created by the new Climate Tech Economy, Regen Miami empowers local organizations, entrepreneurs, and citizen activists to build a shared economic prosperity by attracting, creating, and cultivating climate focused jobs around local resource regeneration in energy, water, and land. This includes supporting blue green infrastructure projects, building climate innovation hubs, and supporting local projects that deploy sustainable and resilient technologies for residential neighborhoods and buildings. Our approach is a collaborative framework that will serve as a model that can be adapted and scaled by other communities facing their own sets of climate risks and opportunities.
